5.3

Armin lies under the desk of a restaurant. The waiter comes and shakes him.
Armin opens his eyes and says: "Vanelin?"
The waiter says: "It would be the best you go home and sleep a while."
"I have to..."
"You drank much yesterday. Shall I call a cab?"
"No, no cab."
"Please, get up."
"Vanelin."
"Listen, now you can only think of her - but she's only a woman and you'll forget about her some time, believe me."
"Forget her? - I want that yesterday."
"I believe you. But you should get over her with another woman not with alcohol. Believe me, that works better and, although I ruin myself with saying that: it is less expensive."
Armin tries to get up, sits on the floor again and says: "You know nothing."
The waiter says: "I work here such a long time that I've heard a lot. And as different the stories may be the end is always the same. I mean, in the end your girlfriend or your wife left you, hasn't she?"
"Vanelin did not leave."
"Maybe you're right and she did not leave. Nevertheless, my advice is: You should better go home now, sleep a while and face the truth when your head is clear. However the truth does look like."
"Face the truth? You're mad, blinded."
"I call a cab."
"Vanelin."
Armin gets up and goes.
