Armin and Katja lie in Katjas bed. His mobile phone starts to ring.
He takes it and says: "How dare you to call me? Yes, and for that reason you disturb me? No, I won't come."
She awakens and says: "Who was it?"
"The keepers of right and order."
"The police? What has happened?"
"They found my dead mother yesterday."
"My god."
"Don't misuse his name, she wasn't worth it."
"Armin, why are you so cruel?"
"Dark-cruel, I hope to be black soon."
"Coloured!"
"Coloured?"
"Yes, coloured! Look around, all is full of colour!"
"But at night it's going to be black."
"Why do you hate the light?"
"It shows so many lies, so much ugliness."
"... and colours! Many colours."

Both are silent. The mobile phone rings anew, until Armin takes it and throws it on a wall.
She says: "Armin, I have to go to work."
He says: "Vanelin, you have to stay."
"I am hungry."
"Tell me when it's big enough that food will taste again."
"Now I think it's big enough."
"Would you eat everything I give you?"
"No, but I'd fresh rolls with sweet jam."
"I fetch them."
He gets up, dresses and goes.
She says: "Hurry, before I die of hunger."
He says: "Others die because of food."
